It all began in a Thirties clothing company run by brothers John and Isaacs Miller in Chorlton Street Manchester. A company more used to producing raincoats and trench coats found itself with a soon to be trendy lightweight sporty item with raglan sleeves and the distinctive Fraser tartan lining. The first jacket was sold in 1937.
The G9 style jacket emerged in the Fifties as a fashion statement for mods, skinheads and celebrities. It then never went away.
